Awards

In January 2016, our agency hosted our 3rd Annual Bay Harbor Islands Police Banquet, honoring our officers for acts of heroism, administrative excellence, and superior community policing efforts.  In all, over 40 various awards were issued for notable acts during 2015.  This event was a tremendous morale boost to the entire department and was well supported by the Council and Town Administration.

I would like to congratulate Officer David Murado for “2015 Officer of the Year” and Property and Evidence Supervisor Analily Perez for “2015 Civilian of the Year”.  Both employees have brought great credit to our agency and have provided a tremendous level of law enforcement service to this community. Their hard work is consistent with the BHIPD motto of “Pursuing Excellence”
