Bay Harbor Islands Closures & Program Updates


Facilities Remain Closed to the Public. Programs Resume

Given the rise in COVID-19 infections, for the safety, health and wellbeing of Town Staff, Library workers, program instructors and persons enrolled in Town programs, it is necessary to make the following changes:

Town Hall, the Police Department and Annex Building remain closed to the General Public. 

  • Police services are unaffected by the closures. For non-emergencies or to file a telephone report, call the BHI Police at 305-866-6242. In an emergency, call 9-1-1.
  • For Town Hall business, please use our online services or call 305-866-6241.
  • If you require additional assistance please call or email the appropriate person or department by using the information in the Staff Directory. The directory may be found at
  • All Town events scheduled for the month of January have been postponed

The Morris Broad Community Center remains closed to the general public

  • The only exceptions will be persons who are preregistered for adult classes and signed a waiver for classes at the Community Center.
  • Adult programs have resumed but masks are required.
  • If you feel sick or believe you may have been exposed to COVID, please get tested and be certain you are negative before attending classes.
  • Bay Harbor Islands Aftercare has resumed at RKBK-8 Center.
  • The Library and the BHI Building Department are offering curbside service until further notice.

Rolling Lane Closure on 96th Street today

  • Brightview will be trimming trees and foliage along 96th Street, between East and West Bay Harbor Drives, today until 2:00 PM. This will necessitate a lane closure on the side of the road they are working. Please use patience and caution when driving our roadways.

Vaccines & Testing at the 95th Street Park

  • Miami-Dade County and Nomi Health are administering COVID-19 testing and vaccinations at the Town of Bay Harbor Islands' 95th Street Park, Monday through Saturday, from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
