COVID-19
The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak is something that concerns us all. The Town of Bay Harbor Islands continues to monitor the outbreak and will provide information and updates, as they become available. In the meantime, we ask that you use these common sense tips to protect yourself, your families and our community from COVID-19 and from the spread of disease in general.
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after using the bathroom, before eating and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
- If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
- If you use tissues, throw them away after use and then wash your hands.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- If you are sick - stay home.
