  • Miami-Dade County has a curfew in effect from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m., until further notice. 


  • Our Town Hall Administrative offices, the Building Department & the Police Department public lobby are open the public. When visiting Town facilities, please remember to wear a facial covering over your nose and mouth and practice social distancing. 
  • The Morris N. Broad Community Center remains closed. Library patrons may pick up pre-ordered books, DVDs and other library materials outside this and all other Miami-Dade Public Library System (MDPLS) locations. The outdoor service is available Monday - Saturday from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Please visit for more information. 
  • The Town of Bay Harbor Islands Shuttle bus is running on a normal schedule. 
  • Bay Harbor Islands and Miami-Dade County are in Phase 1 of reopening after the coronavirus shutdown. More details can be found at Miami-Dade County’s new normal website.  
  • Condo Association pools may reopen.  Gyms and fitness studios may reopen on Monday, June 8th. 
  • Short term rentals are once again permitted.  All properties must provide local COVID-19 guidance for guests.  All vacation rentals must follow guidelines for Hotels and Accommodations included in the County’s New Normal Guidebook
  • If you have questions about what can and cannot reopen, please call the Miami-Dade County Answer Center at 311. 

Short Term Vacation Rentals: 

  • The State of Florida has approved Miami-Dade County’s request to permit the operation of vacation rentals, effective immediately.
  • The Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR) approved the County’s plan for vacation rentals, which includes the following mandatory regulations of Health and Safety of Guests, and Cleanliness of the Property. For more information on this, go to the full Press Release.
  • All properties must provide local COVID-19 guidance for guests. Miami-Dade County has a dedicated webpage that includes local information.
  • All vacation rentals must follow guidelines for Hotels and Accommodations included in The New Normal Guidebook.

Town Parks:

  • Officer Scott Winters Park on 98th Street and the 95th Street Park are open again to the public under the following guidelines:
    • Entrance into Town Parks will be strictly limited to Town of Bay Harbor Islands residents. ID showing proof of residence will be required. There will be no exceptions. All children must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
    • Facial coverings must be worn over the nose and mouth of all persons entering our Town Parks and must remain in place during the duration of your visit. 
    • Residents shall maintain a minimum 6-foot social distance while inside our Town Parks.
    • Park hours will be limited to 6 hours a day, 7 days a week. 
      • 7 AM - 10 AM, with 7 AM - 8 AM reserved for persons 55 years and older. 
      • 5 PM - 8 PM
      • Parks will be fully staffed to ensure that Park rules are enforced.
      • Parks will be cleaned every two hours and deep cleaned after each closure.
      • If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or have any symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath or flu like symptoms please DO NOT ENTER OUR FACILITIES.
      • Parks are for passive use only (walking, jogging and running).
      • Gatherings such as picnics, parties, organized competitive play and pick-up games are strictly prohibited.
      • Town Staff will restrict entrance to enforce guidelines.
  • The Town of Bay Harbor Islands Tennis Courts are available for use under the following guidelines:
    • Hours of operation will be from 8 AM to 11 AM and evenings from 5 PM to 8 PM.
    • Entrance to the Tennis Courts will be strictly limited to Town of Bay Harbor residents ONLY.
    • Facial coverings will be required when entering & leaving.
    • One court will be open for singles play only.
    • The second court will be set aside for our Tennis Pro to provide Town residents with individual instruction

Community Services:

Water Bills: 

  • All water bill late fees and shut offs are waived until further notice

Trash Pick Up:

  • Trash continues to be collected on a normal schedule.

  • We ask all residents who have not yet completed their 2020 Census questionaire to please do so today. It takes less than 10 minutes to complete online at
