A Message from Chief Raul Diaz

At this time, the Bay Harbor Islands Police Department is not aware of any credible threats or planned acts of violence targeting our community, in response to the President-elect’s Inauguration on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. We have been. and remain, in constant contact with our local, state and federal law enforcement partners. If any reliable information is received, the Bay Harbor Islands Police Department, in conjunction with our Law Enforcement partners, will take appropriate action. 

It is therefore prudent and responsible for our agency to remain vigilant and prepared should a credible threat of violence present itself in our community.   We ask that you too might be on alert and if you see something - say something. Please know that the men and women of the Bay Harbor Islands Police Department stand ready, as we protect and serve our community.
