TRAFFIC ALERT FROM THE BAY HARBOR ISLANDS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Due to heavy police activity in North Miami Beach, eastbound traffic from that area is being directed south on Biscayne to the Broad Causeway, resulting in heavier than normal traffic, eastbound across the ICW bridge and through the Town of Bay Harbor Islands. There was also a minor accident, with no injuries, on 96th Street in Bal Harbour, that is being cleared now (6:05 PM EST) These two incidents combined have caused traffic to back up in the 1000 thru 1300 blocks of 96th Street in Bay Harbor Islands, BHI Police Officers are on scene at the intersections to prevent traffic from blocking the box.
