The men and women of the Bay Harbor Islands Police Department are committed to providing the highest level of service to our community.  We will continue to build partnerships with the residents, business owners and visitors as we work together to maintain one of the lowest crime rates in the State of Florida.  Our motto of “Pursuing Excellence” is one that every member of the department is committed to in every task performed.  As a progressive and professional law enforcement agency, we will always remain innovative in our training and education programs, as well as in providing the best equipment to assist in our job functions. The men and women of the department remain our greatest resource.  I take personal responsibility in ensuring that the recruitment and promotional process of our personnel bring the best possible candidates to serve our community.

The Bay Harbor Islands Police Department prides itself on being an accredited police agency through the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA).  Accreditation is the certification by an independent reviewing authority that law enforcement agencies have met specific requirements and standards.  Accreditation has long been recognized as a means of maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, meaning that our policies, training, and equipment are properly updated to uphold the CFA standards.    The Bay Harbor Islands Police Department must comply to these requirements in order to retain its accreditation status.
