A Business Tax may be levied on any person who maintains a permanent business or branch office for the privilege of engaging in or managing any business, profession or occupation within the Town of Bay Harbor Islands. 

Professional practitioners are recognized professions regulated by state boards requiring examination and certification. Each person engaged in the practice of their profession whether alone, in a partnership or as an employee of another person, partnership, corporation or professional association shall pay a business tax.


Section 23-4.2  of the Town Code allows for various service-oriented mobile services may be undertaken within the Town jurisdiction upon the issuance of a Mobile Permit by the Town. Such mobile services are contemplated to include by way of example but are not limited to mobile pet groomers, mobile vehicle washers, certain health and fitness trainers and/or physical therapists, providers of medical services and supplies, vendors of prepared foods and consumable goods at construction sites, etc.


You can renew your Business Tax Receipt and Mobile Permit online or in person if there are no changes to your renewal notice.
